No later than April 15th of each year, an
administrator/director nominates employees for the Crystal
Apple Award.
Crystal Apple Awards are given to two individuals in each
building who:
• Have demonstrated excellence in the area of
teaching, serving, and/or caring.
• Have demonstrated an innovative or unusual approach
that reflects positively on the school district.
• Have been recognized for outstanding educational
achievements by agencies or institutions outside the
Talawanda City School District.
Each Principal selects two individuals, from the
nominations, at each building level. This might result in
the recognition of two classified, or one of each.
The Superintendent may also select one individual from
among employees of the district office and/or the
administration and may select an at-large candidate from
any employee of the district (including transportation
employees)
