Tim Myers started his high school career at McGuffey, where he was named outstanding freshman athlete, before moving on to Talawanda and graduating in 1958. During his four years Tim earned an impressive 12 varsity letters in four sports. These included 2 letters for baseball, 2 letters for golf, 4 letters in track and field where he was a standout in the shot put and the discus, being an all league performer in both. It was in football though, where Tim truly excelled, earning 4 varsity letters, as well as being named first team all league all four years. As team captain, Tim helped lead his squad to a perfect record in his senior year.

Beyond high school Tim stayed active in many sports in many different ways. One notable example includes being a member of the Miami University football team’s “Chain Gang” for forty years from 1967-2007. More impressive yet are his contributions to the sports of swimming and diving at the local, state, and national levels. Tim was an Ohio High School Swimming/Diving Official from 1992-2009. He was also a U.S.A National Certified swimming official from 1998-2009. Among his awards and honors form these years are being named Ohio Swimming/Diving Official of the year for 2003-2004, and being given the U.S.A Swimming/Diving “outstanding service award for Ohio” in 2009. Tim also was the Ohio High School State Diving Championship head official, judge, and referee from 2001-2007.

Tim has been married to his wife, Sally, for 41 years. They have three grown children. Travis; a member of the Talawanda Hall of Fame class of 2000 and a two time Ohio state diving champion. Lindsey; a member of the THS hockey, tennis, and soccer teams, as well as a state qualifier in diving. And Whitney; an 8 time Ohio High School state swimming champion, and 29 times NCAA All-American at the University of Arizona. IN 2007 Whitney was honored as the NCAA Woman of the year.
