Gary Paulin graduated from Talawanda High School in 1964, and received a degree in Business Administration from Morehead State University in Kentucky. He then graduated from the American Fliers Institute in Oklahoma, as a pilot. He was employed at Miami University as a pilot, and was also employed by Beckett Aviation of Chicago and Cleveland. He has been a corporate pilot for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis for the past twenty-two years.

Gary earned varsity “T”s for his accomplishments during his four years' participation in football and baseball. His dedication and work ethic helped enable the Braves football team to go 9 – 1 and the baseball team to win the district championship in 1964, his senior year.

Gary attended the Ohio State University his freshman year and was a member of the baseball team. He received a baseball scholarship to Morehead. As a sophomore at Morehead, Gary was the third leading hitter at the college level with a .462 batting average. He also managed Junior/Senior League Baseball for twelve years and his teams were Indiana State finalists in 1985 and 1986.

Tonight, we recognize Gary Paulin for his athletic achievement, and welcome him to the Talawanda Athletic Hall of Fame.
