Stuart Eversole was outstanding in three sports during his career at Talawanda High School - football, basketball, and baseball. Twice, he was a first team selection to the M.M.L. all-star football team. Stu was captain of the team his senior year and was voted his class’ outstanding athlete. He also excelled in basketball and baseball, winning two varsity letters in each of those sports.

Following graduation in 1968, Stu enrolled at Miami University where he played one year of football, leading the team in interceptions.

After he graduated from Miami, Stuart took a job teaching and coaching at Lakota High School. In 1977, he became the head football coach, a position he held until 1985. During that period of time, Stu’s teams won more football games than any other coach in the school’s history. His record of 52 wins, 36 losses, and 2 ties converts to a .590 winning percentage!

Now in his 12th year as Lakota’s Athletic Director, Stu devotes his full attention to administering the school district’s 23 interscholastic sports, an athletic program recognized throughout the state as one of great quality. Recently, Stuart’s achievements were recognized by the Butler County Athletic Hall of Fame when they selected him as a member.
