Lee Hart was an outstanding three sport athlete at Talawanda during the years 1982 - 1986. She earned eight varsity letters in basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Though she was versatile athlete, it was basketball where Lee excelled. She set all kinds of school records as she led the 1986 team to a Mid Miami League championship. They were undefeated in league play and had a season record of 18 wins and only 3 losses. During Lee’s years on the team, they won 63 games, and lost only 23.

Lee set several Talawanda girls’ records in basketball: 1,262 career points (this is only 11 points less than Chris Elzey’s boys’ record); 400 points in a single season; 137 field goals in a single season; 126 free throws in a single season. She also led Greater Cincinnati in free throw percentage in 1986, when she shot 85 percent.

Lee was a Mid Miami League and Golden Triangle all star three years in a row. She was first team all district and second team all southwestern Ohio. Her senior year, she was Honorable Mention, all Ohio, and in the McDonald’s all Ohio classic as well as the Ohio National tournament Junior Olympic team.

Lee attended Dartmouth College, where she played on
three Ivy League championship teams.
