Angela Trostel is recognized this evening for her
accomplishments in diving at Talawanda High School,
University of Cincinnati, and National Competition. She is
a 1995 graduate of THS, and achieved many letters and
special awards for her performance. During her high school
years, she was a four year letter winner, four time High
School All American, two time state champion in ‘93-’94 and
‘94-’95, and won the Outstanding Athlete Award in 1995.
Angela always provided an excellent example for her peers
of dedication and commitment to her sport and school.
After Talawanda High School, Angela accepted an athletic
scholarship to attend the University of Cincinnati. Along
with her collegiate diving experience, she has achieved
recognition for the 1996 and 2000 Olympic diving trials
qualifier, silver medalist in 1995 Pan American games, 1995
World Cup qualifier, four time Junior Olympic champion,
gold medalist at the 1995 Swedish Flag International, seven
time U.S. Diving national team member, four time NIC
conference champion, nine time All American NCAA Division I
diving.
Angela graduated from U.C. last year with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Sociology. She is the daughter of Vicky and
Randy Trostel, and the sister of Scot, THS class of ‘90.
