Suzy was a 1968 graduate of Talawanda High School. During her four years of athletic competition, Suzy earned the equivalent of fourteen letters, while participating in field hockey, basketball, volleyball, track, and cheerleading.

Suzy helped to lead the “Lady Brave” to county volleyball championships in 1965, 1966, 1967, and again in 1968. Her outstanding performances in field hockey helped Talawanda High School achieve a four year undefeated record. During the years when softball throw was part of women’s track competition, Suzy set a county record with a throw of over one hundred eighty-one feet.

Because of her stand-out athletic performance, Suzy was recognized in 1968 as the Talawanda High School Outstanding Athlete.
