
Abrams became the head wrestling coach at Lebanon HS in ‘72 and held that post for 27 years. His wrestling teams at Lebanon won 3 district, 7 Mid-Miami League, and 2 Fort Ancient Valley Buckeye Division Championships. His state teams placed 4th in 1988, 8th in ‘91, 3rd in ‘92 and 11th in ‘93. His individual wrestlers’ success includes 4 state champs, 15 state placers, 36 state qualifiers, 32 sectional champs, 102 league champs & 13 Outstanding Wrestler awards!
Greg was also the Lebanon golf coach beginning in 1972 and coached for 12 years finishing with a dual meet record of 190-47. His team achievements included a 5th place State finish in 1980, a Dayton District Championship in 1995, and 7 league championships.
Greg has been previously inducted into the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame, the Greater Miami Valley Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame and the Southwest Ohio Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame.
Greg is retired from teaching and coaching. He and his wife Lynn live on their small farm and raise animals including a peacock and an emu. Greg is active in his church as a lector and member of the finance commission. He has 5 sons: Kyle, Jeremy, Zach, Casey and Zack, and one daughter Caitlyn.
