Wilburn Powell
Wilburn Powell was a 1954 graduate of Reily High School. While at Reily, Wilburn played four seasons of varsity baseball, three seasons of varsity basketball, four years in track and three years in volleyball. He truly was a “big man on campus” at Reily High!

His basketball career at Reily is highlighted by his scoring average of 22.5- 26.0 points per game, putting him in the Top 5 his junior and senior seasons. He was an All County selection in basketball his junior an senior seasons, and after graduation from Reily High School, Wilburn played 1 season of basketball and baseball at Tusculum College in Greenville, TN.

Wilburn is currently retired, residing in Hamilton, Ohio, after a successful career as a self-employed businessman. He has been recognized for his accomplishments in the insurance business by being named President of the Hamilton Association of Independent Insurance Agents (’64). Wilburn has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Lindenwald for 25 years, is a member of the Mason-Oxford 67 Lodge and a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God, where he has served as an elder, as well as secretary/treasurer on the Board of Trustees

Tonight we recognize Wilburn Powell for his athletic success at Reily High School, and welcome him into the 9th class of the Talawanda Athletic Hall of Fame!
