Dr. Torge was Talawanda High School's first band director (1956-1970). He wrote the original music for the Talawanda Fight Song and also the Talawanda Alma Mater. Recently Dr. Torge visited the new Talawanda High School campus to donate a tuba to the THS music program. Ryan Hickey, member of the THS Band, is the recipient of the instrument.
