OGT TEST WEEK - MARCH 15 -19, 2010

 Students taking the OGT tests: Sophomores, juniors, and seniors taking the OGT tests must report to school at the regular time (7:50 AM) during test week. 

 Students NOT taking the OGT tests: Students not testing should report for the start of school by 9:50 AM. 

**Bus transportation will run on its regular schedule; students who need to ride the bus but are not taking sections of the test will report to the cafeteria for a supervised study hall.

Talawanda High School National Merit Finalist Scholarship Winner Announced

Talawanda High School would like to announce that Kaitlin Jewett has been named a Finalist in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program. Mrs. Vicki Brunn, principal of Talawanda High School made the announcement to this scholastically talented senior. In addition to academic strength, Kaitlin has participated in many school-related activities. All Finalists will be considered for National Merit Scholarships to be offered in March 2010.

Mock Trial Team Wins Awards

At Regionals, on the Plaintiff, Jeff Brock was awarded Outstanding Witness (Mr. Chris Richmond), and Claire Meikle was awarded Outstanding Attorney. On the Defense, Sierra Bowater was awarded Outstanding Attorney, and Claire Meikle was awarded Outstanding Witness (Professor G. Lee).

We are privileged to have 8 Miami mock trial members as our coaches, along with Ms. Weatherwax. Our "junior varsity" team, Team Red, did well at Districts, but did not advance to Regionals.

State Competition is March 11-13 in Columbus, OH
